EUDR, it is working!

On April 16th, I held a webinar on EUDR organized by the DTB, an association covering the fashion and textile community with more than 30 participants. 30 might not seem to be a big attendance crowd, but the number of questions given to me during the presentation and at the end during the Q&A showed that the participants were very interested as they were anticipating the impact of the EUDR.

And as a matter of coincidence I “tripped” over an article today stating that “Europe's incoming forest law is already spurring positive change” which is positive news, considering today's many not-so-good-news stories on climate change, such as watering down sustainability responsibility.

Even if the implementation of the EUDR has been pushed back twice already, data shows that many companies cite the EUDR in their documents (in 2025, 68 (14%) of 500 companies) and their actions on tackling deforestation, which sounds very promising as the due dates for compliance are still in ahead of us.
