ISO 45003 - the first Global standard to help manage psychological health and safety at work

According to the World Health Organisationglobally an estimated 12 billion working days are lost every year to depression and anxiety at a cost of US$ 1 trillion per year in lost productivity.

Mental health is now included in the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and increasingly accepted to be an integral part of all-round employee health, as demonstrated by leading organisations in the UK such as Barclays, Royal Mail and Unilever who have signed the Mental Health at Work Commitment.

ISO 45003:2021 Psychological Health and Safety at Work is the first Global Standard to give practical guidance on managing psychological health and safety at work; relevant to organisations of all sizes that want to implement or improve their own Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHMS).

To learn more about the Standard, join our one-day virtual training course for an understanding of the concepts and principals of managing psychological health and safety risks and takeaway practical guidance on how to develop a mental health strategy tailored to meet the needs of your organisation.

According to a YouGov survey conducted for Business in the Community and Mercer Marsh Benefits, only half (51%) of workers feel comfortable talking about mental health at work. This coincides with the statistics that two in five (39%) workers say they have experienced a work-related mental health issue in the past year, and 300,000 people lose their jobs each year because of long term mental health problems.
