Behold - the avocado robot is here!

Chipotle is testing out a new automated avocado peeler. It's name is “Autocado”. It's only job is apparently to “cut, core, and peel avocados by the case before workers mash them up for guacamole.” That's some great teamwork between technology and the Chipotle crew. Who doesn't love Chipotle guacamole?

Kitchen automation is nothing new to Intertek, of course. Several years ago we worked with Miso Robotics to test and certify their innovative hamburger-flipping robot, “Flippy”.
