Last month, on the island of Langkawi, Intertek Malaysia collaborated with the Malaysian Recycling Alliance (MAREA), to promote the Consumer Education and Public Awareness (CEPA) program. The purpose of the event was to engage and educate the local community on the importance of recycling and sustainable practices.
The two-day event aimed to empower the communities with the knowledge to make eco-conscious choices in their daily lives and featured a range of activities designed to promote recycling awareness and encourage waste separation education.
Enthusiastic residents participated in a variety of captivating activities, such as children’s coloring contests, guessing games for recyclables' weight, competition for waste segregation, and numerous other engaging fun learnings.
This initiative not only promotes recycling awareness but also contributes to the preservation of the island's natural habitat.
