Undermining human rights. Also in Europe!

You do not have to think of far away countries when addressing the human rights of migrants and refugees.

Great Britain is in the process of adopting a bill which will allow to remove refugees if they have entered illegally into the country, meaning also having invalid travel documents. Whereas it is quite clear that many of the migrants and refugees fleeing from their country are not in the position to obtain valid documents, so their chances are more or less zero to move towards a positive outcome of their quest.

For decades, the UK has provided refuge to those in need, in line with its international obligations – a tradition of which it has been rightly proud. This new legislation significantly erodes the legal framework that has protected so many, exposing refugees to grave risks in breach of international law,
