I read a great article on how to involve your suppliers to follow you and your requirements on due diligence and compliance which I think is worthwhile sharing.

There is maybe no rocket science in the suggested best practices, but it might help to get to the essence of what should and can be done, i.e. to concentrate on the basics and work together with your suppliers
