Last month on "World Day Against Child Labour" the ILO stated that 160 million children are still engaged in child labour. That is almost one in ten children worldwide ! At Intertek through the work we do in supply chains our teams of local auditors will see child labour, although often it is hidden from view. Identifying child labour is only half the problem, actually eliminating it is even harder. It is good to see projects such as SCREAM that are actually creating awareness and empowering young people on the subject of child rights via education, arts and media.
