United Nations Climate Change report: Fashion Industry has to set priorities

In the newest report by the UN Climate Change "New Report: Fashion Industry Needs to Make Climate Action a Top Trend" some promising a ctions are being mentioned but there is also a lot more to be actioned.

One of the highest priorities is to get the scope 3 emissions under control and not neglect them as has been done too often in the past. Also double claiming or double counting of environmental benefits hast to be controlled.

It has to be clear to all stakeholders that transition to net-zero economy is definitely not going to be easy and will require a high level of collaboration both within and outside the industry and will certainly be at a cost. The cost of not reaching the target will be far higher.

It’s critical for the fashion industry to come together and align its actions, both within individual companies and across the entire supply chain, to pave the way for the sweeping changes that are needed to address the climate crisis
