The ILO (International Labour Organization) has added Health & Safety to the Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. Now is the time for governments and organizations to update and enforce legislation protecting workers' well-being. The ILO estimates more than 2 million deaths are caused each year by work-related incidents, we can all do our part to ensure that workers worldwide are provided with a safe working environment.

Great news for all workers regarding health and safety at work!
The new provisions, expected to enter into force in December 2024, will contribute to enhancing the living and working conditions of seafarers around the world, based on some of the lessons learned during the pandemic.
