The future of virtual events

Like most people reading this, I have attended many virtual events this past year and I cannot wait for the day I can finally go to an interesting conference or see my favorite band in person. But maybe, especially in the business world, we shouldn't completely stop hosting online events.

Here at Intertek, while some conferences are being offered online as a safe alternative, we are constantly hosting webinars and other virtual events that anyone can join, regardless of location. So instead of thinking "when can we stop doing virtual events and get back to live events?" think about how the two formats can co-exist and play off of each other.

But more important than whether brands show up and continue to engage with consumers virtually is how they do it — and what value they bring to the table
