Food Fortification with Vitamin A and validated analytical data/method

Together with GAIN (Global Alliance for improved nutrition), an analysis of vitamin A in fortified vegetable oils was published, as it is important to control the Vitamin A level in fortified food and demonstrate compliance with legal standards and fortification levels.

The aim of this study was to develop a direct method that reduces preparation steps leading to a validated quantification of retinyl palmitate that can be done in standard food labs all over the world.

It is part of our cooperation with GAIN to empower especially African and Asian countries to strengthen local Food Safety initiatives.
